Merging Traditional Knowledge and Western Science
Indigenous communities’ cultures, traditions and in some cases their very identities are based on the land and the sacred places that shape their world. Their respect for their ancestors and Mother Earth speaks of a unique value system different from some commonly held Western values, for example Christianity or Judaism.
