AUS: Rethinking disaster risk management and climate change adaptation
A reconceptualization of the problem indicated that concepts such as ‘community’ and ‘resilience’ tend to be oversimplified by policymaking and planning processes. These concepts need to be recast to take account of socio-economic diversity and allow for more tailored, context-specific risk analyses and responses.
